Montreal is the second-largest city in Canada and the largest city in the province of Quebec. Originally called Ville-Marie ('City of Mary'), some historians think the city takes its present name from the Mont Réal (as it was pronounced in Middle French, or Mont Royal / Mount Royal in present French), the three-head hill at the heart of the city, whose name was also initially given to the island on which the city is located.
The official language of Montreal is French as defined by the city's charter. It is among the five largest French-speaking cities in the world. As of the 2006 Canadian Census, 1,620,693 people resided in the city of Montreal proper. The population of the Montreal Census Metropolitan Area (also known as Greater Montreal Area) was 3,635,571 at the same 2006 census. In the census metropolitan area, French is the language most spoken at home by 70.5% of the population (as of 2006 census). In 2007, Montreal was ranked as the 10th cleanest city in the world.

Kaghan
Area description :
Between Kaghan and Naran, a distance of 25 km separate them. Naran serves as the base-camp for excursions to other valleys, lakes and peaks. The various greenish blue lakes offer occasions of fishing and excursion.
The landscapes are still preserved from any form of civilization, a still primitive and intact nature far from MacDo and other industrials companies, of the inopportune noise of the wild stocks which we are.
This place is called the Virtual paradise, as much Kaghan exposes us all his sumptuousness and its splendour as much a desire of adventure and exploration invades us...

Saiful-Muluk, accessible approximately in 40 minutes by Jeep since Naran, is the most beautiful lake that it was given to me to contemplate. Located at 8.05 km of Naran at an altitude of 3.200,40 meters to the top of the sea level, all this in the shade of Malika Parbat (queen of the mountains) culminating at 5.291 meters.

There is a charming legend attached to the lake about a handsome prince called Saiful Muluk who fell in love with a fairy of the lake. He married the fairy, but when her demon lover appeared, he became angry at seeing the happy couple and flooded the entire valley in revenge. Of the fairies in the lake, some say they have deserted the place, while others believe they still come to dance at night, recounts the 1907 Gazetteer.
